We as a family do not celebrate Halloween. As we've studied the holiday's origin and purpose we feel as Christians we should not take any part of it. My son is great about understanding why we don't celebrate Halloween and now he doesn't even ask anymore about getting a costume. (To read about the origins of Halloween click here.)
What is hard about not celebrating the holiday is trying to stay in the house. So we've decided to take Noah and my niece, Eva, to Chuck E. Cheese's tonight. We're going to celebrate his good grades he got on his report card.
