He' so excited!
We broke the news to Noah on Christmas morning that he was no longer an only child. We made the iron-on and put it on a shirt and put it in his stocking...it was from Santa of course.
Tired from the holidays.
Wow...the holidays can really wear you out. We've been really busy with church, work, families and yes, even hospitals.
I can finally say that Sherry and I are expecting our second child, hence being busy at the hospital.
Sherry suffers from a condition called hyperemesis during pregnancy. It's a condition where she is constantly throwing up and getting to a point where she feels faint and weak. It sounds like typical morning sickness, but it's not. Morning sickness can last for a few hours and typically is gone between the 8th and 12th week. Hyperemesis is a 24-7 illness and last well into the 6th or 7th month of the pregnancy. Sherry normally sleeps in the bathroom so as to be close to the toilet.
I feel so sorry for my wife having to go through this. She has her OK days(throwing up 5 times or less) and her bad days(going to the hospital for fluids and drugs). Her doctor is very good and was proactive about solutions to Sherry's condition. This is our 3rd pregnancy(we lost our 2nd) with the same condition.
The first two pregnancies were with another set of doctors here in our area that are very good but did not want to be proactive. They would rather wait for symptoms to worsen before acting. Sherry spent about a full month in the hospital during her 2nd pregnancy because she had gotten so badly ill. We asked them several times to do an ultrasound to check up on the condition of the baby but they said that they weren't worried about the baby at that point. It wasn't until Sherry was released out of the hospital into home health care that we went back into the office for a routine check up and found the baby had passed while her stay in the hospital.
So after that series of events we went in search of a high risk pregnancy specialist and God gave us Dr. Keeton. Dr. Keeton is a young, full of life, Christian doctor that specializes in Sherry's condition. She happened to be in the same complex with the other practice of doctors.
We told Dr. Keeton our story of the second baby and of Noah's pregnancies amd how both were about the same. She was excited to here that we were willing to give it and her another chance. She immediately prescibed Sherry a bunch of meds to take once she had a positive pregnancy test. We've had our ups and downs during this pregnancy so far, but with God's help and the help of Dr. Keeton it's been the best yet. Her and her doctors at her practice actually listen to the patient and ask them questions of what is and isn't working. At the other unnamed practice they would ask you how you are doing but acts as if it's your fault for the treatment not working.
Anyway, we give thanks to God for another chance for life and we know he has gifted us with this child, our family, and with Dr. Keeton.

Words for an Atheist
This is a video from magician and know atheist Penn Gillette from the Las Vegas show The Penn & Teller Show. I just saw this on another person's blog and thought of it too intriguing not to put it in mine. I pray that the battering ram of the Gospel is starting to strike and break his heart of stone. Listen as he explains the authenticity of the man he came in contact with. Let me know what you think. Enjoy.

The STORM is here!!!
I got my brand new Blackberry Storm yesterday and now I'm trying to figure how I lived life without it.
Originally I was going to help my aunt go and order one for herself because the store didn't have any in stock, but when we got there they had just received a Christmas miracle of 50 of the phones in that morning. My dad and I had just bought our Blackberry Curves about 2 months before but I asked an old manager of mine (I used to work at Verizon.) if my we could exchange our phones out for the new Storm. (It's not supposed to be done.) He went ahead and let us exchange them. Thank you! (You know who you are.)
The phone is incredible! My aunt is learning the Blackberry ropes, which does take a while. My dad and I are whizzing right through it.
